Extreme athlete

Until 2001 I was inactive and only watched sporting events as a couch potato on TV. After a voucher for a fitness study in 2000, my athletic career began. The first steps and training started in the fall of 2001, when I had already lost more than 15 kilograms by changing my diet and cycling. The Königsforst Marathon on March 31, 2002 was chosen as the first running goal with a preparation of 6 months, which I then finished in 3: 43h. In the same year I ran two more marathons in Duisburg and New York (3:19 pm).

I was able to increase my running quota so that I finished my first Ironman in 2004 and even won more than 25 marathons and my first 100 kilometer run! In the same year I met my running and life partner Claudia Weber know and from then we walked through the world together. When I was able to win my first 24 hour race with over 225km in Basel in May 2005, I was nominated for the German Ultramarathon Team 2006 for the World Championships in Taiwan (227.8km) and for the EM in Verona 2006. In 2004 I also won my first Multi Day Running Races (10 marathons in 10 days). In 2005 I was able to get 3rd place in the Multiday Race from Paris to London over 8 days.

Between 2002 and November 2010, I was able to successfully finish more than 300 marathons and ultramarathon events in just 7 years. I have won various marathon competitions, 100 kilometers, 24 hour runs. In 2006 Thomas also set a new Guinness World Record on the treadmill in a seven-day run of 717.85 kilometers.

From 2005 Claudia organized their own with ThomasCharity running eventsall over the world and with your social commitment you could raise more than 68,000 euros in donations for various organizations.
